2014 marks the 25th anniversary of Slam Jam.
For this milestone achievement, the company is launching THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY PROJECT: a series of events and projects at Slam Jam’s flagship store in Via Paoli with the aim of bringing together partners, colleagues and dear friends who shaped the company’s history throughout the years.
For the occasion, Slam Jam store turns into a permanent pop-up store.
The online retail platform slamjamsocialism.com is the virtual display of the project.
The first event featured the Palace Skateboards crew, of which Slam Jam has recently become the official Italian distributor.
The brand was founded in 2010 by Lev Tanju, who is part of London’s South Bank skate crew. That crew-focused heart of the project together with its DJs and visual artists.
Palace has expanded thanks to its sci-fi aesthetics, fresh designs with acid echoes, psychedelic graphics and its cultic Penrose-inspired triangular logo.
Slam Jam launched the first ever Italian Palace’s pop-up store the 8th of April at their flagship store located in Via Paoli. The whole crew, including founder Lev Tanju, Gareth Skewis and William Bankhead, one of Place designers also known for his musical project The Trilogy Tapes, hosted the event.
