Friday, September 23rd, SLAM JAM opened the doors of its news area in Milano, a space that is more than just a store, with a Guest Room dedicated to monobrand pop-up, exhibitions, special projects and other wonders.
The location is the heart of the artistic district of Brera, the store hosts the essence of 25 years of research and passion with an eclectic mix of brands that best describes the Slam Jam’s DNA.
Designed by Andrea Caputo, the interior celebrates SLAMJAM’s atypical & unique identity. The project integrates the retail and temporary exhibition space inside the former location of the Mazzotta Foundation of Milan. The materials play in contrast with each other: zinc for the structure, sequoia wood for the shelving surfaces and drawers, a plate system in plexiglass for the shelving units of small objects, and perforated metal sheets and grills for the back of the shelves. The merging of different materials, which reference industrial aesthetics, explores the diversity of textures & milieus the company typically addresses.
During the opening, we unlocked for the first time the Guest Room, hosting the OAMC installation until the end of November. The special set up displays the FW16 collection inspired to the various manifestations of flight: the nature, the military, and iconography.
